"Drs. Girgis and Associates, S.C. is an otolaryngology group practice offering the highest quality ENT services to pediatric through geriatric patients in Chicago’s western suburbs. Our practice strives to provide these services in a caring, friendly and efficient setting for patients, physicians and staff."

Our full range of services include the medical and surgical treatment of problems of the ear, nose, throat, sinus, head, neck, thyroid and facial aesthetics. In addition, we provide state-of-the-art audiologic evaluations, hearing aid devices, CT scan imagery, diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.

Our board certified and faculty appointed physicians, as well as our staff, are dedicated to maintaining the highest level of service through personal and professional development and patient, staff and community educational programs.

History

The practice was founded in 1959, by Dr. Tawfik F. Girgis, when he opened the first office in Downers Grove. The practice then moved to 40 South Clay, in Hinsdale. Dr. T. Girgis trained under. and soon joined the practice of Dr. George Shambaugh Jr., a world pioneer of ear surgery, prior to staring our practice. Dr. T. Girgis retired in 2000. Dr. Samuel J. Girgis joined the practice in 1986. We are grateful to our loyal patients and staff for the continued growth of our practice.

The La Grange office was opened when La Grange Memorial Hospital constructed the medical office building at 5201 S. Willow Springs Rd. in 1994.

Our Oak Park offices, the Oak Park sleep center, and the imaging center, as well as the process of implementation of electronic medical records, have been added recently to improve service to our patients, consistent with our mission statement.

Affiliations

Drs Girgis and Associates physicians are affiliated with Hinsdale and LaGrange Hospitals and Good Samaritan Hospital.

They also are on the staff of several ambulatory surgery centers including Hinsdale Surgery Center, Kendall Point, and Elmwood Park Surgery Centers and are the clinical faculty of Children's Memorial Hospital and Loyola Medical Center.

The practice also is contracted with many of the major health care plans, either directly or through Adventist PHO. While we will work with insurers in billing your primary insurance claim, we also advise the patient or guarantor to check with their insurer on specific coverage or eligibility questions.
